Archidome is an innovative board game designed specifically for primary schools to teach children how to maintain a healthy back. It addresses the pervasive issue of back pain that starts at a young age, incorporating physical exercises and posture education in a playful, interactive way. This program aims to prevent future back pain and foster a positive and healthy environment for children to learn and grow.
Why should a project like Archidome be important?
Back pain is the leading cause of years lived with disability, and alarmingly, it starts affecting individuals from a very young age. Studies have shown that 73% of 9-year-old schoolchildren already show signs of bulging discs. Poor posture can lead to a host of physical and mental health problems, including joint and muscle pain, increased injuries, cognitive delays, anxiety, and stress sensitivity.
Since 2018, there has been a significant rise in the percentage of youth experiencing headaches, abdominal pain, back pain, and dizziness. However, there has been no targeted approach to prevent back issues in primary school children until now. Archidome fills this gap by providing a fun, educational tool to teach kids how to maintain a healthy posture.
The realisation of Archidome
The creators of Archidome had the brilliant idea but needed support to bring it to life. They turned to Pamogi, a platform dedicated to turning ideas into reality through a unique "Draft-Craft-Grow" process. With the collaborative effort of the Pamogi community, Archidome evolved from a simple idea into a fully-fledged program ready for implementation and recently launched a pilot program in a primary school for the upcoming school year. This launch marks the beginning of a broader rollout aimed at integrating the program into schools nationwide.
Powered by Pamogi
Pamogi's innovative "Draft-Craft-Grow" process was instrumental in the development and launch of Archidome:
1. Draft: Ignited the idea
The journey began with the creators submitting their idea to Pamogi, initiating the first step of transforming their vision into reality and obtaining a clear view or problem statement.
2. Craft: Refined with feedback
Through Pamogi's collaborative platform, the Archidome concept was refined with feedback from community members and experts.
This iterative process helped shape a detailed business plan, ensuring the idea met real-world needs, and ultimately refined the concept outline or problem-solution proposition.
3. Grow: Achieved together
With a well-defined plan in place, the tasks required to bring Archidome to life were broken down. Goals were defined, tasks were prioritized and executed on the Pamogi Platform. The community contributed by claiming bounties on the Pamogi Platform, leading to the successful launch of the Archidome program in a pilot school. There are still open bounties to be claimed: check them out!
The result
Thanks to Pamogi's support, Archidome is now ready to make a significant difference in the lives of young children. By teaching them how to maintain a healthy back, Archidome aims to reduce future incidences of back pain and improve overall well-being. The program also extends to workplaces, where proceeds from corporate training programs are used to donate the Archidome movement program to primary schools.
